The Addon Junkie

Today we review EventHorizon, a cast timer system available from WoWInterface by developer Tifi.

EventHorizon is a must-have for any DoT reliant class (like warlocks or shadow priests) but is worth a look for any class that relies on cooldowns (I’m looking at you, mages). Not mentioned in the video, but pretty cool, is that EH also keeps track of internal cooldowns that the players cannot normally see, such as the 6 second ICD on a shaman’s windfury weapon procs. The only way to customize it is by editing the LUA code of the addon itself, but the addon’s author provides good documentation and assistance on the WoWInterface site, more than enough for a coding novice to make some simple changes.
